There are no special configurations required to work with knowledge base.

For a general introduction on how to create and manage kb articles refer staff/knowledge-base. For searching kb and viewing results refer customer section.

There is however one area that should be considered from admin point of view and that is who has permissions to add/edit/delete kb articles.

Users who have these permissions would see an Edit Article button when viewing an article. See screenshot below.
